Ban on Unauthorised Wall-posters & Wall writings in GHMC: Commissioner

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata today said unauthorised wall-posters and wall-writings had been banned with an aim of beautifying Hyderabad's brand image. She warned that action would be taken if posters were pasted on the walls and wall writings were done without permission.

She asked the concerned Deputy Commissioners of the respective circles to arrange a meeting with the owners of the printing presses and cinema theatres under their jurisdiction and order them to take measures not to paste wall posters, movie posters and wall writings on the walls. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioners have been directed to act strictly without negligence and to take appropriate action against those who have posted the wall posters and wall writing without permission and to impose fines if necessary. The Commissioner has issued orders to send a report detailing the fines.
